The high valleys north of the Ganesh Himal Range on the Tibetan border are still a complete wilderness. This area is not trekked by many people & if you should ever do this you should feel proude of it. Just to get permission to enter this beautiful area is still difficult. The trail starts from Dhunche, the headquarter of Rasuwa district following the upper valley of Langtang.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel. Alt. 1,350m. / 4,428 ft.
Day 2: Trek preparation day
Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru besi ( 8-10 hrs) overnight in guest house.
Day 4: Syabru besi trek to Gatlang (5 hrs) overnight in community lodge
Day 5: Gatlang trek to Tatopani (6-7 hrs) overnight in community lodge.
Day 6: Tatopani trek to Thuman (6 hrs) overnight in community lodge
Day 7: Thuman trek to Briddim (6 hrs) overnight in local home.
Day 8: Briddim trek to Lamahotel (6 hrs) overnight in teahouse
Day 9: Lamahotel trek to Langtang (6hrs) overnight in teahouse
Day 10: Langtang trek to Kanjin (4 hrs) overnight in teahouse
Day 11: Kanjin rest day & hike to Langsisa Kharka or Glacier langtang –lirung
Day 12: Kanjin trek to Lama hotel (6 hours)
Day 13: Lama hotel trek to Thulosyabru (5-6 hours)
Day 14: Thulosyabru trek to Dhunche 5 hours
Day 15: Dhunche drive to Kathmandu (6-7 hours)
