The Sherpa villages of Helambu, north east of Kathmandu valley, is one of the unique and one of the most beautiful cultural treks near Kathmandu that you can visit when taking cheap flights from Jetabroad . Starting with a short drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal, the trail to Helambu climbs on to the Shivapuri ridge from where there are sweeping views of the central Himalayas. We conclude our trek visiting Shermathang before descending to the Melamchi river to end our trek with a drive to Melamchi Bazaar back to Kathmandu.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel. Alt. 1,350m. / 4,428 ft.
Day 2: Half day sightseeing of Kathmandu valley & rest of the day preparation for the trek.
Day 3: Drive to Sundarijal & then trek to Chisa Pani Alt. 2,300m. / 7,544ft. (6 hrs)
Day 4: Trek Chisa Pani - Gul Bhanjyang Alt. 2,140m. / 7,019ft. (5 hrs)
Day 5: Trek Gul Bhanjyang - Melamchi Gaun Alt. 2,530m. / 8,298ft. (6 hrs)
Day 6: Trek Melamchi Gaun - Sarmathang Alt. 2,590m. / 8,495ft. (6 hrs)
Day 7: Trek Sarmathang - Melamchi Pul Bazaar Alt. 830m. / 2,722ft. (5 hrs)
Day 8: Drive Melamchi Pul Bazaar - Kathmandu Alt. 1,350m. / 4,428ft. (4 hrs)
