Deaths and Funerals ROXBORO- -John Robert Loyd, 52, of Ca-Vel died at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning after suffering a heart attack. A native of Halifax County, he was the son of the late James Thomas and Fannie Wallace Loyd. For 28 years he was employed at the Corporation and for the past year he operated the Midway Barber Shop. Survivors include his wife, Rachel Griles Loyd; three daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Wade of Burlington, Mrs.

Evelyn Knight of Durham and Mrs. Carolyn Parham of Columbus, one son, J. R. Loyd Jr. of the home; one sister, Mrs.

Mary Moorefield of Route 4, Roxboro; three half-sisters, Mrs. Ella Connally and Mrs. Howard Hughs of Longhurst and Mrs. Gene Soloman of Route 3, Roxboro; one brother, Jessie Loyd of Clover, one halfbrother, Eldred Moorefield of Longhurst; one grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.

LEGGETT. FAIRMONT Samuel Buster Leggett, 56, of Route 2, died Wednesday in a Mullins, S. hospital. The funeral will be conducted in Prevatte Funeral Chapel at 4 p.m. Thursday by the Rev.

Prentice Fox and the Rev. A. P. Stephens. Burial will be in the family cemetery.

TETTERTON. JAMESVILLE- services were held Wednesday afternoon Phillip Roy Tetterton, 24, of Jamesville, who was drowned Friday, boat afternoon Roanoke when he River fell while from returning from a fishing trip. The body was recovered late Tuesday afternoon by the Coast Guard. He was the son of Mrs. Mildred Tetterton Wildred Tetterton Woodard Yorktown, Va.

He was a salesman for East Cwrolina Supply Co. Plymouth and was a member Jamesville Christian Church, where funeral services were concluded. The Rev. C. N.

CITY OF RALEIGH. ORDINANCE NO. 640. AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE RATE TO BE CHARGED FOR SEWER SERVICE WHEN THE USER OF THE SEWER DISCONTINUES THE USE OF CITY WATER. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RALEIGH: Section 1.

That a new paragraph be added to Section 44 of Chapter 9 of the City Code as follows: Persons, firms and corporations now using City water who shall hereafter discontinue such use but shall discharge sewage into the City sewer system shall be charged a sewer service charge based upon the charge which would be applicable to the monthly average use of water during the twelve months period immediately preceding such discontinuance. Sec. 2. This ordinance shall become effective twenty days after its publication. The foregoing ordinance has been duly adopted by the City Council and is hereby published as required by Jaw.
